In our Houston Hair Salon, knowing what type of hair and how to treat each type of hair requires skill from hands-on experience and years of professional training. Luckily I have both, from studying by the books and interning for 2 years to obtain my cosmetology license from working professionally on the floor at Visible Changes for 3 years, dealing with literally thousands of hair types. To finally branching off on my own in 2015. I love what I do because I enjoy the people I help enjoy the hair they’re in.

The key to being a good hairstylist is technical training and strong communication and customer service skills – they have to understand what the client wants and then deliver. In addition, hairdressers need to be confident, outgoing, and able to relate to people easily. Good hairdressers should also be good listeners and be genuinely interested in what their clients have to say.

Hairdressing is Angel’s creative outlet. His styles range from technically precise bobs to sexy long layers, men’s cuts, sleek and bouncy blowouts, effortless Updo’s, and Balayage color technique. When Angel is not traveling or inspiring and educating stylists, he works with clients to create customized looks that complement their lifestyle and hair type, delivering their sought-after image in his new salon, Lush Hair Folk in Houston.
Angel attended beauty directly after high school and began working under a master colorist. There, he gained extensive knowledge of theory and various techniques in hair coloring. Today, he continues to perfect his craft by being in the know of the latest styles and trends and using the beauty and diversity of Houston as his constant inspiration.
